Vimshottari 由九個主導星組成，完整循環合計 120 模型年。本頁以出生月亮所在宿的守護星決定首個主運，再按宿內尚未走完的比例計算餘額。

從哪一顆星開始？
九段在水星後回到計都，加總為 120 年。但個人的出生時間軸不一定從計都開始，月亮宿會指定循環入口；教材表格的第一列不是所有人的起點。
Rao 第 16.1 至 16.2 節說明標準月亮宿法，後續另討論變體。沒有實作證據，不應把變體說成產品功能；120 只是系統參數，不是壽命承諾。
如何計算出生還剩多久？
二十七個等長宿每個寬 13°20′，即 800 角分。未走完角分除以 800，再乘宿守護星的完整年數；要用未捨入的恆星月亮位置，不能只有落座名稱。
例如月亮正好位在月亮守護的 Rohini 中點，十年主運只餘五模型年。出生不會把它重設為十年；已在出生前經過的五年，還會影響子運所在位置。
結束日期為何可能不一樣？
Rao 第 16.2 節明確討論 360 天與太陽年等約定。本次確認的 OpenFate 本地政策採 365.25 天，這是具名實作，不代表各派共識，也不等同已查核線上版本。
比較日期先核對年長、月亮黃經、出生時刻與邊界規則。若不確定輸入改變首宿或目標區間，保留候選；目前大運頁再示範如何定位，不由星名直接預言人生。
