Bhratrikaraka，简称 BK，是变动指示星中的第三名，传统上与手足相关。它不能确认一个具体亲属的存在、健康、行为或与你的关系状况。

BK 总是火星吗？
不是。火星在所引传统中有手足的自然指示关系，而 BK 是根据特定命盘进度排序得到的可变角色。两者属于不同指示星分类，不应互换。
第三宫和第三宫主还是另外两个字段。排名第三不等于落在第三宫，也不等于掌管第三宫；核对时应把角色、位置与宫主身份分别记录。
金星取得第三名
设虚构进度为木星 27°、水星 23°、金星 21°、火星 17°、月亮 11°、土星 6°、太阳 2°。按七项法，金星前面有两颗行星，因此获得 BK。
火星在这个例子中排第四。若因为讨论的是手足就把 BK 改成火星，便推翻了已经计算的名单。两种标签本身都不能证明有几位手足或必然发生争执。
加入罗喉会改变 BK 吗？
有可能。虽然 BK 在两张角色表里都排第三，但八项法会先插入反算后的罗喉；如果它排在金星之前，第三名的占有者就可能改变。
讨论家庭关系时，应尊重当事人的实际处境与意愿。命盘角色不是责备、偏袒或给亲属贴上固定行为标签的依据。
