拿到 BPHS 副本后先看什么？
先看扉页及编辑说明：是谁的文本、翻译或评注？现在打开哪一卷？章节和偈颂如何编号？译者解释必须与所解释的原文分开。传统署名也不能直接给出现代整卷各部分都适用的确切年代。
本次核对的仓储记录列出 Santhanam R. 与 Ranjan Publication，并提供标为第一、第二卷的文件。这有助于识别副本，却不是手稿校勘研究；我们没有通读两份文件全部偈颂，也没有建立跨版本通用的权威章节数。
为什么记录里的“2012”不能给 BPHS 定年？
该仓储元数据有2012年9月的入库时间，并有同月的 issued 日期字段。阅读笔记应把它们标为仓储元数据；写成“BPHS 于2012年成书”不成立，用它证明某个古代成书日期也同样不成立。
两个可下载卷次描述这份副本的编排，不表示两部可以分别确定年代的古代作品。比较另一个版本时，应同时核对主题、开头词句及偈颂编号，不能以为两个版本的第100页必然对应同一段。
怎样把引文用于具体规则问题？
假设一篇文章把某条活动卡拉卡规则归于 BPHS。先记录文章引文、版本、卷次和定位，再打开相应段落及前后指令，检查参与排序的天体与例外究竟写在原文还是评注里。没有可核对定位时，应标注归属待证。
Rao 序言讨论常被称为 Jaimini 的方法时引导读者参阅 BPHS；这是现代作者的参考指引，不能代替已查到的 BPHS 段落。引文可以记录传统指令，却不能单独证明科学有效性，更不能支持对某个人生命结果的断言。
如何选择 BPHS 英文版？
下方 Google Books 书目将 R. Santhanam 列为译者，ISBN 为 9788188230600；Sagittarius Publications 另列 Girish Chand Sharma 的两卷本。这些资料用于识别版本，不代表已比较两种译本的准确性。
学习时可先匹配老师使用的版本，或比较同一段的试读内容。核对语言、译者、注释、所含卷次与诗节编号。用书目确认版本，再到出版方页面查看当前获取方式；本页不是全书译文。
一个 BPHS PDF 是否包含上下两卷？
文件名不能证明内容完整。Yoga Library 的记录把 Santhanam 第一卷与第二卷列为独立文件。检查任何副本时，都应查看扉页、目录及首尾页；节选或单卷不会因为文件名写着 BPHS 就变成全套。
拉丁字母书名也不保证正文是英文。先看样页，分清译文、梵文诗节和注释，并遵守提供方的访问条款；网上能看到扫描件，不等于已经获得再分发许可。
