Dhanishta 星宿：摩羯至水瓶的度数
核对 Dhanishta 的摩羯水瓶分区，并用1°45′水瓶月亮计算不等于整季度的火星起运余额。

Dhanishta 从恒星黄道摩羯座23°20′延伸至水瓶座6°40′，总黄经293°20′至306°40′。前两个 pada 在摩羯，后两个在水瓶；Vimshottari 对应星是火星。

跨星座不一定换星座主星
在300°，月亮从摩羯进入水瓶，pada 也改变，但七星主宰制度中这两个星座都由土星主管。火星的大运对应保持不变，因此不能假设每次跨星座都必然换主星。
相对于固定上升点，整宫制宫位仍可能改变。共同主星不会使摩羯和水瓶成为相同坐标或同一个宫位，宫位参照应另外注明。
用角分计算不是整季度的余额
设虚构月亮位于水瓶座1°45′，总黄经301°45′。减去起点293°20′，经过8°25′＝505角分，属于 pada 3；还剩800－505＝295角分。
月亮起运火星余额为7×295/800＝2.58125大运年。本例使用剩余295角分，不是已经走过的505角分；小数不能在缺少年长规则和出生时间时直接变成日历终点。

若工具把水瓶1°45′标为 Dhanishta pada 1，应检查是否在水瓶0°错误地重新计数。本宿起于摩羯，进入水瓶时前两段已经走完。
