The Nine Stars are Tian Peng, Tian Ren, Tian Chong, Tian Fu, Tian Ying, Tian Rui, Tian Zhu, Tian Xin, and Tian Qin. They form a heaven-timing layer and carry their own elements and seasonal vigor. In the rotating method, eight stars move as the sequence Peng–Ren–Chong–Fu–Ying–Rui–Zhu–Xin.
