Jupiter transits provide an approximately twelve-year moving cycle whose exact contacts vary with retrograde loops.
How long does a Jupiter transit last?
Track Jupiter sign and house entries, stations, and exact aspects to natal targets; distinguish the broad passage from narrow exact windows. The receipt retains the chosen input record, reference frame, tolerance, and version, then identifies the first step where an independent recalculation diverges.
First name the target layer: Jupiter entering a sign, crossing a natal house cusp, or forming a specified aspect to a natal planet or angle. For an aspect, calculate the shortest wrapped longitude separation under one ephemeris, zodiac, aspect set, orb, and time standard; record approach, every exact direct or retrograde hit, station, and separation. For a house passage, verify birth time, house system, cusp degrees, ingress, and any re-entry. Keep a conjunction to natal Jupiter under the separate Jupiter Return owner. Compare the dated sequence with the natal condition and real records; do not convert expansion symbolism into a promise of luck or a result.

Retrograde loops, repeated exact hits, and Jupiter returns
A Jupiter contact does not guarantee luck, wealth, promotion, travel, or legal success.
A sign ingress, station, exact transit-to-natal aspect, house-cusp crossing, and Jupiter Return are different dated events. The roughly twelve-year orbital cycle does not state how long one contact remains inside an orb. Direct and retrograde motion may produce several exact hits, which should be recorded as one sequence rather than selected after an outcome. Western tropical and Jyotish transit rules use different zodiacs and interpretive systems and must not be merged.
