Definition and Scope
This page traces the chain from the question’s grammar to houses and planetary significators. The audit names who asks, what exact thing is asked about, whether radical or derived houses are used, the house system, traditional or modern rulership table, Moon role, and any outer-planet policy. Skyscript and the NCGR curriculum document these assignments as method conventions. They do not validate the resulting judgment. Reproducibility requires another reader to reach the same assignments from the preserved question without seeing the desired outcome.
Evidence and Repeatable Method
Name the querent, quesited, selected house, cusp ruler, derived-house convention, Moon role, and any secondary testimony before considering aspects.
Worked Example and Near Miss
For a landlord question, the reader documents whether the seventh, fourth, or a turned house represents the landlord and shows how that choice changes the significator.
For a question about a tenant’s deposit, the table assigns the querent, landlord, money, property, and disputed obligation before aspects are inspected. If radical and derived-house approaches differ, two complete mappings are retained and judged separately. A ruler cannot migrate between rows to create perfection, and the actual lease and payment record remain the factual authorities.
Several houses are silently reassigned until one produces the preferred answer, or an outer planet replaces a traditional ruler without disclosure.
Schools and Method Variants
House assignment differs for agents, possessions, employers, relatives, and turned relationships; cite the convention and show any material alternative assignment.
Limits, Product Boundary, and Safe Use
Significator assignment cannot reveal a third party’s private thoughts or justify switching houses when the first mapping gives an unwelcome answer. Build the assignment table before judging: querent, quesited, relevant property or person, house, cusp sign, ruler, co-significator if the school permits it, and any derived-house step. Record ambiguous wording and the alternative mapping without pooling them. If consent, ownership, legal status, or factual identity matters, verify it directly. A symbolic ruler never overrides documents, communication, or safety obligations.
