Mula 的可核對含義是位置
本宿起於射手座0°。射手由木星主管，計都負責本宿的大運對應；月亮在此不直接定位木星或計都，更不能證明與任一者合相。
名稱在傳統中有不同象徵故事，但座標歸屬是這裡能重算的較窄結論。不可拿宿名責怪孩子，或宣稱父母健康和家庭未來因此受到威脅。
射手1°的月亮餘額
假設月亮總黃經241°，即射手1°。從240°起點走了60角分，仍在 pada 1，距800角分的終點還有740角分。
依月亮起運法，7×740/800＝6.475大運年計都期。這是期間分配而非逆境預測；若要日曆日期，還需出生時刻及採用的年長規則。
不要用恐懼決定邊界哪一側
240°同時由天蠍 Jyeshtha 轉為射手 Mula。若出生時間可能讓月亮落在兩邊，應保留兩個結果，不以令人害怕的敘述作為計算正確與否的檢驗。
