Read the facts from bottom to top. Apply the Qian Palace Metal element to each branch element: Water becomes Children, Wood Wife/Wealth, Earth Parents, Fire Officer/Ghost and Metal Peers. Mark line three Ying and line six Shi.
Worked example
Line one is 甲子 Water and therefore Children under Metal Palace; line three is 甲辰 Earth, Parents and Ying; line six is 壬戌 Earth, Parents and Shi. Another implementation can recompute every row without interpretation.
Closest failure case
Assigning one permanent Six Spirit to each Qian line is wrong because Six Spirits start from the cast day stem. Treating the page as a complete “meaning of hexagram 1” also confuses a Liu Yao chart reference with the broader Zhouyi text.
