Explore concepts

Start with a date, not a personality label

Enter the birthday in the calendar requested by the tool. Save the converted lunar month and day alongside the returned mansion.

Choosing a mansion because its description feels familiar reverses the calculation and makes later comparisons unreliable.

Read one mansion carefully

Open its entry in the 27-mansion directory. Begin with the natal passage before reading the modern work and communication exercises.

The separate day-activity passage concerns a calendar day; it is not another proof of the person’s character.

Add a second person

Verify both birth mansions, then read the relationship label in each direction. A family name groups the pair but does not replace the two roles.

Practise on a known pair of mansion names before entering private information about another person.

Keep timing separate

For a daily reading, record the target date separately from the birthday. Weekday, lunar day and source-relative mansion are different fields.

Do not interpret a natal result as today’s calendar without recalculating the target date.

Follow the sources

Use the calculation section for product settings and the references section for historical terminology. T1299 preserves more than one kind of table.

A reproducible label explains a method. Whether an interpretation describes a real person remains a separate question.

A complete first reading

Record one birthday, its converted lunar date, the returned mansion and the rule version. Then read one natal passage and write down one fit and one counterexample.

Only after that check should you add another person or target date; otherwise three calculations can be mistaken for one result.
