Start with the target date
Write the day you are examining separately from the birthday. Confirm the civil calendar and timezone convention.
A natal chart alone is not a complete daily calendar.
Read the lunar day
Black and white fortnights classify parts of the lunar month. Their day names differ from the seven weekdays.
Do not confuse a traditional fortnight day with the astronomical phase angle of the Moon.
Read the weekday and mansion
The seven-luminary sequence follows weekdays. A named combination requires both the weekday and the mansion supplied by the chosen method.
A mansion name alone cannot establish a 甘露 or 羅刹 day.
Read a relative cycle
The three-nine sequence starts from a person’s mansion and names positions relative to it.
This is different from treating all people as having the same relative day label.
Keep unsupported methods visible
Modern ryōhan calendars require their own table and period rules. The product’s six-position reference is not proof that a period is currently active.
Choose real plans using practical constraints and safety information, not calendar labels alone.
Create one annotated day record
Write target date, timezone, lunar month/day, weekday, absolute mansion, birth reference, relative role and the source of any extra badge on separate lines.
If one field or rule is missing, leave that interpretation unresolved instead of borrowing the previous day’s label or filling it from intuition.
