Conditions for Ten-God Combinations (十神組合成立條件)
Check identity, presence, strength, access, relation direction, chart layer, and counterevidence before accepting a Ten-God combination.
Overview
A Ten-God combination is established only when the named roles are correctly derived from the Day Master, present in the relevant chart layer, able to reach one another, and strong enough to perform the claimed relation. Month Command, roots, exposure, position, combinations, clashes, structure, and timing can support or break the mechanism. Similar labels, isolated symbols, or a memorable phrase are not sufficient evidence.

Verify identities and chart layer
Derive every Ten-God role from the natal Day Master and name whether it comes from a stem, hidden stem, Luck Pillar, or annual pillar.
Do not merge natal and timing symbols into one timeless formation.

- Name the active layer.
Verify capacity and connection
Assess Month Command, roots, exposure, generation source, distance, and whether the claimed relation can reach its target.
A role may be present but too weak, blocked, transformed, or committed to another relation.
- Test operational strength.
- Trace the relation path.
Publish failure conditions beside formation conditions
List decisive clashes, combinations, controls, missing links, mixed roles, or structure conflicts that would invalidate the name.
Use graded conclusions when only part of the mechanism survives.
- State falsifiers.
- Avoid all-or-nothing labels.
Do not use the name as an outcome shortcut
Formation means a traditional relation is structurally supportable; it does not certify a personality trait or future event.
Any life-domain claim needs separate evidence and must preserve uncertainty.
