Ten-God Combinations and Favorable Elements (喜用神)
Connect Ten-God relations to Useful-God and Favorable-God policy without treating a Ten God or element as permanently favorable.
Overview
Ten-God combinations describe what roles do; favorable-element analysis asks which functions the chart currently needs and can use. A role can help one structural task while harming another, and an element can carry several Ten-God relations across different chart layers. Selection must therefore name the problem, method, candidate, operating path, competing cost, and timing instead of assigning permanent good or bad labels.

Name the problem before selecting a favorable role
State whether the chart needs support, drainage, control, mediation, climate regulation, or pattern rescue.
Then identify which Ten-God relation can perform that function under the chosen method.

Check season, roots, exposure, source, distance, protection, and competing relations.
A theoretically suitable role may be unavailable, while a supporting Favorable God may make it usable.

A role that repairs one relation can intensify another conflict or break a valid structure.
Show net effect and preserve disagreements between strength, structure, and climate methods.

喜用神 does not make a Ten God, person, job, color, or year universally lucky.
Practical choices need real-world evidence and cannot be delegated to an element label.
