Ten-God Combinations and Day-Master Strength (身強身弱)
Understand how Day-Master strength changes whether a Ten-God relation supports, drains, controls, overloads, or fails to operate.
Overview
Day-Master strength changes the capacity and cost of many Ten-God combinations, but it does not make any role universally good or bad. Resource and Companion roles can support a weak Day Master yet congest an already strong chart; Output, Wealth, and Officer roles can provide useful release or create excessive drain and pressure. The conclusion requires Month Command, roots, exposure, relation paths, structure, and Useful-God policy.
At a glance
- Baseline
- Strength is a whole-chart evidence judgment
- Support roles
- Resource and Companions may help or congest
- Drain roles
- Output and Wealth may release or exhaust
- Control roles
- Officer and Seven Killings require capacity to bear control
- Exceptions
- Following and dominant structures use different logic
- Boundary
- Strength is not physical or moral strength
Establish strength without relying on element counts
Assess Month Command, roots, sources, exposure, branch formations, drain, and control before grading the Day Master.
Record strong counterevidence and whether a special following or dominant structure is under review.
- Use weighted evidence.
- Test exceptional structures.
Measure what each role asks the Day Master to carry
Supporting, expressing, controlling, and consuming roles impose different resource flows.
Judge whether the chart can sustain the complete path rather than treating each Ten God in isolation.
- Trace resource flow.
- Assess cumulative load.
Explain when the same combination changes function
A relation that relieves excess in a strong chart may overdrain a weak chart; added support can rescue one mechanism and obstruct another.
State the threshold and evidence that cause the interpretation to change.
- Name reversal conditions.
- Avoid fixed good-and-bad lists.
Keep strength inside the technical model
身強 and 身弱 do not measure health, willpower, confidence, ethics, or social power.
No medical, psychological, or life-outcome claim should be inferred from the strength label alone.
- No personality shortcut.
- No health inference.
