Overview

Jia Chen Decade Void: Yin and Mao is 甲辰旬空亡寅卯. Its ten day pillars are 甲辰、乙巳、丙午、丁未、戊申、己酉、庚戌、辛亥、壬子、癸丑. Yin and Mao are left without stems inside this sequence, so they form the Void pair. OpenFate derives Yin–Mao from the Day Pillar and marks a matching year, month or hour branch while retaining Wood, roots, hidden stems and branch relations. The result is not evidence that growth, family, education or work is missing.

The Jia Chen decade completes at Gui Chou

Count 甲辰、乙巳、丙午、丁未、戊申、己酉、庚戌、辛亥、壬子、癸丑. Yin and Mao do not appear in those ten aligned pairs.

Therefore every Day Pillar in that exact set derives Yin–Mao Void. A Yin or Mao year alone does not decide a person’s pair.

  • Use the complete Day Pillar as the lookup key.
  • Keep Yin–Mao attached to this one decade.

Yin–Mao Void does not remove Wood or roots

If Yin or Mao appears in another pillar, its Wood, hidden stems, seasonal participation and root relationships remain present. Void is an additional relation derived from the Day Pillar, not a command to set their values to zero.

The matched pillar and its interactions provide the reading context. Symbolic claims about delay, distance or realization belong to interpretive schools and need corroboration.

  • Preserve element, root and relationship evidence.
  • Require corroboration for symbolic interpretation.

OpenFate keeps calculation and interpretation separate

The product deterministically derives Yin and Mao and records a non-day pillar match. It does not zero Wood strength, remove a root or rewrite Ten Gods.

This article documents the table and safety limits only. It does not add timing claims or alter old outputs.

  • Keep the deterministic pair reproducible.
  • Do not modify strength, roots or historical reports.

Yin–Mao Void is not a deficit diagnosis

It does not prove lack of growth, education, family support, mobility, creativity, employment, health, fertility, relationships or longevity.

Education, employment, family, medical and financial decisions require direct evidence. Do not stigmatize a person from this lookup.

  • No family, ability, employment, health or lifespan inference.
  • No screening or consequential decision from the label.
