Overview

Jia Shen Decade Void: Wu and Wei is 甲申旬空亡午未. The sequence is 甲申、乙酉、丙戌、丁亥、戊子、己丑、庚寅、辛卯、壬辰、癸巳. Wu and Wei receive no stem within those ten pairs, so they form this decade’s Void pair. OpenFate uses the Day Pillar to derive Wu–Wei and marks a matching year, month or hour branch. It does not remove Fire or Earth, nullify the month command, or predict that matters represented by a pillar cannot happen.

The ten-pair sequence ends at Gui Si

Starting at Jia Shen, advance stem and branch together through 癸巳. The ten stems have then been used, while the branch sequence has not paired Wu or Wei.

This arithmetic assigns Wu–Wei to the whole 甲申 decade. It must not be inferred from a lone Jia stem, Shen branch or calendar year name.

  • Verify one of the ten complete Day Pillars.
  • Keep the derived pair tied to the Day-Pillar decade.

Wu–Wei Void does not cancel Fire, Earth or the month command

A real Wu or Wei branch still holds its element, hidden stems, seasonal role and branch relations. If the month branch matches, its month-command evidence remains part of the chart even while the separate Void marker is displayed.

Interpretive traditions discuss clashes, combinations, filling and timing differently. Record those as later layers and do not overwrite the deterministic lookup.

  • Preserve ordinary element and season evidence.
  • Keep timing-school interpretation separate from lookup.

OpenFate reports actual non-day pillar matches only

The Shen Sha layer derives Wu and Wei from the Day Pillar, scans the four branches and records the matched non-day pillar. The Day branch is excluded from being reported as its own Void occurrence.

Publishing this entry neither changes that behavior nor introduces a “filled” or “cancelled” state that the engine does not calculate.

  • Report the matched year, month or hour pillar.
  • Do not invent fill, release or cancellation logic.

Wu–Wei Void is not a health or family prognosis

It does not prove heart, blood, digestive or reproductive illness; missing parents or children; career interruption; property loss; emotional instability; accident or death.

Medical, family, financial and safety questions require real-world evidence and professional advice. The marker is only a chart relation.

  • No organ, fertility, family, accident or death prediction.
  • No medical or financial action from the label.
