Jia Xu Decade Void: Shen and You is 甲戌旬空亡申酉. Its ten pairs are 甲戌、乙亥、丙子、丁丑、戊寅、己卯、庚辰、辛巳、壬午、癸未. After these use all ten stems, Shen and You remain unpaired in this sequence and form its Void pair. OpenFate derives Shen–You from a Day Pillar in this decade, then checks the year, month and hour branches for a match. The lookup does not delete Metal, cancel every relationship involving Shen or You, or establish an event by itself.

The Jia Xu sequence leaves Shen and You unpaired
Count 甲戌、乙亥、丙子、丁丑、戊寅、己卯、庚辰、辛巳、壬午、癸未 in order. This is one complete ten-pair decade within the sexagenary cycle.
The next two branches in the unpaired remainder are Shen and You. They are the lookup result for every Day Pillar in this exact decade, not for every chart containing 甲 or 戌.

Shen–You Void is not the same as “Metal is absent”
Shen and You retain their ordinary branch, hidden-stem, season and relationship data. Void adds a Day-Pillar-derived marker to an actual year, month or hour branch; it does not remove that branch from the chart.
Assess its position, Ten Gods, roots, combinations, clashes and timing separately. Schools differ in later interpretation, so the deterministic pair should be kept distinct from symbolic outcome claims.

The current implementation computes the two missing branches from the Day Pillar and reports a match on the year, month or hour pillar. Tests lock a 甲戌 Day with You in another pillar as a positive case.
No extra Metal penalty, cancellation rule or prediction is added by this Wiki page. Existing reports remain unchanged.
