Sukuyo six harm mansions: 六害宿 positions and conditions

Sukuyo six harm mansions are six source-relative roles—命, 意, 事, 克, 聚, and 同. A located role does not prove that harm is active.

Overview

Separate the six-role map from the condition that a practitioner calendar applies to it. A position label does not predict harm.

Count from the reference mansion

The reference itself is inclusive position one. The other roles are reached by advancing three, nine, twelve, fifteen and nineteen steps.

A zero-based offset list and an inclusive position list can look different while naming the same locations.

Check a known example

From 婁, the fourth inclusive position is 畢 and the tenth is 星. T1299 gives this kind of count in its miscellaneous-divination passage.

This checks the position arithmetic, not a claim of future harm.

Period conditions are separate

Modern practitioner calendars may activate six-harm labels only inside their declared ryōhan periods.

Do not assign that timing condition merely because a six-position table exists in the natal profile.

Avoid the six-family confusion

命, 業胎, 榮親, 友衰, 安壞 and 危成 are relationship families. They are not the six roles listed here.

Matching the number six does not make the classifications interchangeable.

Read alarming words in context

Historical harm language is not evidence that a person will suffer loss, illness or conflict.

Use the reference to understand a source’s method, not to accuse someone or make unsupported consequential decisions.

Record position and activation separately

For a chosen reference, write the six calculated mansions in one table. In a second field, record the independently sourced period condition as verified, not verified or unavailable.

A role can be correctly located while activation remains unverified; merging the two fields creates a forecast the calculation did not supply.
