Definition and Scope
This page separates ordinary New and Full Moon charts from solar and lunar eclipses and from later transit “activations.” The receipt names the astronomical event, time standard, ephemeris, geographic relevance, house system, planetary set, and duration rule used by the selected mundane school. Skyscript’s eclipse material and the NCGR curriculum document historical techniques and disagreements; they do not validate forecasting. A reviewable study includes comparable events that did not coincide with the proposed public theme.
Evidence and Repeatable Method
Separate astronomical type, magnitude, visibility path, exact time, location, saros or lunation context, chart rules, and predeclared social indicators.
Worked Example and Near Miss
An eclipse dossier records the visible regions and exact contacts, then compares a prewritten theme list with later official data without adding events after the fact.
A solar-eclipse study compares jurisdictions inside and outside the visibility path over one predeclared window, using the same outcome indicators and base rates. Magnitude, path, local angles, and later activation rules are frozen before events. Both matching and nonmatching cases remain in the table. A dramatic event outside the protocol cannot be added as proof after publication.
Every crisis near an eclipse is counted as a hit, quiet periods are ignored, or visibility and base rates are omitted from a disaster claim.
Schools and Method Variants
Historical eclipse rules differ on duration, geographic reach, angularity, rulers, fixed stars, and prior lunations; cite the source before applying any table.
Limits, Product Boundary, and Safe Use
A lunation or eclipse is not evidence that a disaster, death, political change, or market move will occur. Record the exact conjunction or opposition, eclipse type and magnitude when relevant, path or local visibility, location, angularity, declared orb, activation rule, comparison window, and public outcome measure before interpretation. Keep visible and non-visible jurisdictions separate. Publish disconfirming conditions and ordinary astronomical or social explanations. Never create fear-based alerts; use current scientific, civil-defense, health, weather, and emergency sources for action.
