Definition and Scope
Mundane astrology is presented as a family of traditional methods for collective charts, cycles, ingresses, lunations, eclipses, events, and political entities. The receipt identifies the chart type, jurisdiction, chart subject, time and location provenance, house system, planetary set, comparison period, public indicator, and publication date. Skyscript and the NCGR curriculum document historical practice and terminology; they do not validate causal or forecasting claims. Unlike chart types remain separate evidence units and counterexamples are retained.
Evidence and Repeatable Method
Define the jurisdiction, period, chart type, inception rule, location, source data, house meanings, cycle set, real-world indicators, and falsifiable review date.
Worked Example and Near Miss
A study of one city’s transit policy names the legal jurisdiction and review quarter, then keeps ridership, budget, service, and survey data beside the symbolic chart notes.
A prospective study chooses one chart family, jurisdiction, twelve-month period, three public indicators, their data sources, and disconfirmation thresholds before reading the chart. The interpretation is time-stamped and cannot add a new event after publication. At review, matches and nonmatches are counted together. This tests editorial discipline, not whether symbolism causes collective events.
A dramatic placement is converted into an unqualified claim about war, markets, disease, election results, or a natural disaster.
Schools and Method Variants
Traditional and modern mundane schools differ on national charts, outer planets, ingresses, cycles, and evidentiary standards; the historical doctrine and empirical claim must stay separate.
Limits, Product Boundary, and Safe Use
OpenFate does not generate political, economic, disaster, conflict, health, election, or public-safety forecasts. Do not trade, vote, evacuate, target a community, or spread an emergency claim from mundane symbolism. A responsible research record freezes the text before the outcome, links official public data, states alternative explanations and disconfirming conditions, and preserves corrections. Historical examples may illustrate a method but cannot establish prediction. Current agencies, law, measurements, journalism, and subject-matter expertise remain the sources for consequential public action.
