Overview

A Nayin phase belongs to a complete Jiazi pair, while standard Five-Phase analysis reads the direct phase and polarity of stems, branches, and hidden stems. Both vocabularies use Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water, but their units and rules differ. They may be compared only after each system has been calculated independently.

The same phase word can label different units

A Jiazi may carry a Water Nayin even when its visible stem and branch have other direct phase identities.

There is no contradiction because the labels answer different classification questions.

  • Name the system whenever a phase is shown.
  • Keep pair-level and symbol-level data separate.

Standard strength analysis uses direct chart structure

Month command, roots, hidden stems, season, combinations, and support or drainage determine how direct phases operate in a Zi Ping chart.

A Nayin phase should not be added as another stem or branch when counting support.

  • Do not add Nayin to phase percentages.
  • Preserve the production chart engine as the strength source.

Compare only inside a declared method

A Nayin method may compare the pair-level phases of two pillars or time layers, while a standard method examines their actual stems and branches.

If both are discussed, the page should state which conclusion comes from which system and how conflicts are handled.

  • Label every cross-system inference.
  • Let direct relations retain priority in standard readings.

Do not use mixed systems to manufacture certainty

Selecting whichever phase label produces the preferred story makes the analysis unfalsifiable and inconsistent.

A responsible reading fixes the method first, records contrary evidence, and avoids turning symbolic phase relations into guaranteed events.

  • Do not switch systems mid-conclusion.
  • Disclose when schools assign different weight.
