KP vs Nadi Astrology: Rules and Source Checks

Compare a named KP curriculum with a Nadi publisher's scope, and learn which inputs, sub-lord rules and source details a report must disclose.

Overview

KP and Nadi should not be compared as two fully specified algorithms. Identify the KP rule set and the particular Nadi book or teacher first; otherwise the same label can hide different inputs and reasoning.

What can the inspected sources actually tell us?

Kanak Bosmia's own KP course outline gives separate roles to the planet, its star-lord and its sub-lord, and describes a three-step assessment. This identifies the method that this instructor teaches. It does not establish that all KP authors use the same extended rules, nor does it independently verify the original Readers he cites.

Sagar's description of Vedic Nadi Secrets in Sastriya Jyotisa explicitly presents classical and Nadi components as independent approaches rather than a newly fused system. Its scope includes divisions, planetary relationships and transit-related material. Consequently, “Nadi” alone is too broad to select one reproducible rule from this source.

Audit two hypothetical reports with the same label

Report A says only “KP: Venus is favorable” and lists a sign. Report B records Venus's longitude, its star-lord, its sub-lord and the rule connecting those levels to the question. B is more traceable for the named curriculum; A has not supplied the information needed to check that method.

Now imagine Report C appends “Nadi confirms” without naming a text, rule or input. This adds no independently checkable support. Ask which chapter and which relationship were applied; do not fill the gap by importing B's sub-lord chain into an unspecified Nadi practice. Traceability still does not make B's conclusion true.

Which questions should you ask before using a variant?

Request the birth or question-time inputs, time zone, location, zodiac reference, ayanamsa, node setting and any house-cusp method actually used. Then request the subdivision table and boundary convention where sub-lords matter. These are a disclosure checklist, not a claim that the inspected course page specifies every item.

Separate a publisher's description of coverage from the full rulebook and from evidence of accuracy. A method's own examples may teach its vocabulary without establishing event probabilities. If the source or settings are missing, keep the comparison incomplete rather than recommending a school as the most accurate.
