How to identify Mei

Calculate both birth mansions under the same convention. If the identifiers match, the directional offset is zero.

Different birthdays can return the same mansion; this does not make the birth dates equivalent.

What remains individual

The shared label does not encode personal history, values, circumstances or the quality of communication.

Read two people as two people, not as duplicate copies of one article.

A useful discussion example

An authored example: both partners assume the other wants the same weekend plan and neither asks. Similarity becomes an untested assumption.

Ask each person to name a preference independently before deciding that the preferences match.

At work or among friends

Two people may have similar working habits but different responsibilities. Clarify ownership rather than assuming that either can do everything.

If their habits are different, keep that observation instead of explaining it away to protect the label.

Avoid the twin-soul claim

The calculation establishes a repeated position, not a unique spiritual bond or a promise of lifelong understanding.

Use the shared name as a starting point for curiosity, not as evidence that boundaries are unnecessary.

Test similarity without assuming it

Ask each person separately how they prefer to plan, disagree and recover after stress, then compare the answers. Keep both agreements and differences.

The Mei result remains mathematically the same even when the observed preferences diverge; the observation should not be edited to protect the label.
