How to Verify a Vedic Chart Calculation

Build a repeatable Vedic chart verification record. Compare like-for-like coordinates, check boundaries and distinguish calculation agreement from prediction.

Overview

Verify a Vedic chart by reproducing its inputs and conventions, then comparing numeric outputs against an independent calculation. Check the birth record, time conversion, longitude table and derived labels separately. This verifies a calculation path, not a life prediction.

Freeze the calculation being tested

Keep the original local record and the converted instant together. Record geographic coordinates, calendar assumptions, software version and relevant options. Without that receipt, a later rerun can silently test a different chart.

Use a second implementation or documented ephemeris with matching conventions. Two websites using the same underlying engine can agree without being fully independent; note that dependency rather than overstating the strength of the check.

Compare numbers before labels

In an original boundary exercise, one output shows 39.999° and another 40.001°. Their separation is 0.002°, or 7.2 arcseconds. They can fall on opposite sides of the 40° Krittika–Rohini boundary even though both rounded to a whole degree display 40°.

Define an appropriate numeric tolerance for the settings and data quality, and retain the raw values. Passing a rounded sign-name comparison is weaker than matching the actual position. Check sign, house and sector derivation separately from the longitude calculation.

Write down what passed and what remains uncertain

A useful result says which timestamps, coordinates and derived fields matched, which tolerance was used, and which differences remain. If the birth time is uncertain, test the interval and identify unstable outputs instead of certifying one guessed instant.

A successful numeric check does not validate a personality reading, relationship verdict or event forecast. Keep those claims out of the calculation pass report. This distinction also makes a later software regression easier to identify without rewriting the person’s life story.
