Crowning (冠帶) in the Twelve Life Stages

Overview
Crowning (冠帶) is stage three of the Twelve Life Stages, following Bathing and preceding Official. Its OpenFate positions are 甲丑、乙辰、丙辰、丁未、戊辰、己未、庚未、辛戌、壬戌、癸丑. Classical wording compares increasingly formed qi with putting on cap and belt before taking responsibility. OpenFate records 冠帶 as a medium secondary stage. The label does not prove maturity, education, social acceptance, fashion, ceremony, leadership or career advancement.

Crowning represents formation before full office
The source image places 冠帶 after the exposed Bathing phase: form is more established and is compared with formal dress. The next stage, 臨官, carries the office metaphor itself.
This ordering prevents 冠帶 from being inflated into peak power or official status. It remains one relational label in a repeating sequence.

Several Earth branches host Crowning for different stems
OpenFate maps 冠帶 to 甲丑、乙辰、丙辰、丁未、戊辰、己未、庚未、辛戌、壬戌 and 癸丑. Repeated branches do not make Earth universally Crowning; each result still belongs to its stated stem.
Yang and yin stems traverse the cycle in opposite directions under the implemented convention. Changing that convention changes the table and must be disclosed rather than blended silently.

Medium is a presentation class, not a final strength score
The engine tags 冠帶 medium within its stage table and can show it for Star Fortune or Sitting Stage. It does not add credentials, authority or a fixed success score.
Season, roots, hidden stems, Ten Gods and actual interactions carry their own evidence. A medium stage can coexist with either stronger or weaker whole-chart conditions.

Crowning does not certify adulthood, education or status
冠帶 cannot establish early maturity, etiquette, academic success, uniforms, public office, promotion, beauty, marriage readiness or family honor. Those claims require facts outside the stage table.
Education, hiring and relationship decisions should rely on real qualifications, conduct and consent. The stage is not a screening label.
