Overview

Nurture (養) is stage twelve of the listed Twelve Life Stages, after Embryo and before the cycle returns to Birth. OpenFate maps it to 甲戌、乙未、丙丑、丁戌、戊丑、己戌、庚辰、辛丑、壬未、癸辰 and gives it a medium secondary tag. 養 uses an image of support before manifestation, but does not identify a caregiver, upbringing, adoption, dependency, recovery, nutrition, health or future growth. It remains one stem–branch lookup in a continuing cycle.

Nurture completes the list and leads back to Birth

The source image treats 養 as support for the form first indicated at 胎. After this twelfth label, the sequence returns to 長生 rather than ending.

This circular structure describes qi phases. It does not map the twelve labels onto twelve fixed ages or literal stages of a person’s life.

Nurture is tied to ten explicit stem–branch pairs

OpenFate returns 養 at 甲戌、乙未、丙丑、丁戌、戊丑、己戌、庚辰、辛丑、壬未 and 癸辰. The Earth-heavy branch pattern does not make all Earth branches nurturing for every stem.

Select the reference stem, use its direction and then identify the target branch. The branch’s ordinary element and hidden stems remain separate evidence.

Medium stage strength is not a support guarantee

The product assigns 養 a medium display class and can calculate it in Star Fortune and Sitting Stage. It does not infer who provides support or whether support is effective in real life.

Month command, roots, Ten Gods, combinations and clashes remain independent. The Wiki documents rather than modifies those calculations.

Nurture does not prove family care, health or recovery

養 cannot establish loving parents, adoption, dependency, nutrition, caregiving duties, rehabilitation, safe pregnancy, business incubation, financial backing or eventual success.

Family, medical and financial decisions require current facts and qualified advice. A nurturing metaphor should not be used to assign obligations or reassure users about outcomes.
