Illness (病) in the Twelve Life Stages

Overview
Illness (病) is stage seven of the Twelve Life Stages, between Decline and Death. OpenFate maps it to 甲巳、乙子、丙申、丁卯、戊申、己卯、庚亥、辛午、壬寅、癸酉 and classifies it as a weak secondary stage. The word represents further contraction in the cycle; it is not a medical observation. A 病 stage cannot identify an organ, condition, disability, mental-health issue, future diagnosis, treatment need or lifespan.

Illness is a technical stage name, not a symptom
Classical sequence language uses 病 after 衰 as the qi metaphor contracts further. The term predates modern medical categories and supplies no clinical criteria.
A valid lookup establishes only that a specified stem reaches stage seven at a specified branch. It says nothing about the native’s body or mind.

- Do not translate it into a health finding.
The Illness stage follows an exact ten-pair table
The current table is 甲巳、乙子、丙申、丁卯、戊申、己卯、庚亥、辛午、壬寅 and 癸酉. Each result depends on the full pair and the adopted forward/reverse convention.
The target branch still retains its element, hidden stems, season and interactions. Receiving 病 never removes those ordinary chart facts.

The stage cannot establish disease, infection, disability, mental illness, pregnancy complications, addiction, injury, treatment response or mortality. No body part can be assigned from 病 alone.
