Overview

Mixed-qi structure analysis applies especially to month branches whose stored qi cannot be reduced safely to one simple label. Resolve every hidden stem, identify seasonal and source conventions, track what is revealed and rooted, compare candidate relationships, and retain ambiguity when no single structure satisfies the declared formation rule.

Storage imagery is not a literal event

Inventory the storage branch without collapsing it

List each hidden stem and its role relative to the Day Master before selecting a candidate.

Distinguish principal, middle, and residual qi and document any seasonal-transition convention used.

  • Keep all stored stems visible.
  • Do not assign one branch-wide Ten God.

Use exposure and roots under a stated school

Some approaches prioritize an exposed stored stem, while others retain the principal month qi unless strong evidence redirects the structure.

Whichever method is used, show roots, support, control, and access rather than relying on storage language alone.

  • Name the selection convention.
  • Audit every selected stem.

Permit mixed or unresolved outcomes

Several candidates can remain operational or interfere with one another, preventing a clean single-pattern label.

Reporting mixed evidence is more accurate than forcing a pure structure for convenience or search keywords.

  • Preserve uncertainty.
  • Separate presence, priority, and quality.

Storage branches do not conceal factual secrets

Stored qi does not prove hidden money, hidden relationships, illness, trauma, or undisclosed intent.

Use the term as a technical branch classification and keep sensitive claims outside the method.

  • Reject literal vault metaphors.
  • Protect third-party privacy.
