Editorially reviewed:

Overview

There is no universal percentage for Fate Stars. Their evidential weight should remain qualitative and lower than verified chart structure. A marker deserves more attention when its source is explicit, lookup is exact, placement is relevant, it contacts operative Ten-God or stem-branch evidence, and timing is defined. Weak provenance, decorative lists, or contradiction reduce weight.

Begin with source and calculation quality

A marker from a named table with a reproducible anchor-target match is stronger evidence than an unattributed app list.

Disputed or alternate rules should be labeled rather than averaged into artificial certainty.

  • Provenance precedes interpretation.
  • Downgrade untraceable rules.

Increase attention only for real structural contact

Placement, repetition, Ten-God function, roots, interactions, and timed contact can make a marker relevant to a specific question.

Relevance is not the same as favorability and does not make the name literal.

  • Weight the connection, not the adjective.
  • Explain the chart path.

Reduce weight when stronger evidence disagrees

A marker should recede when Month Command, strength, structure, or actual stem-branch relations point elsewhere.

Keep the technical match in the record while excluding it from the main conclusion if it adds no reliable information.

  • Do not delete inconvenient matches.
  • Do not let them dominate the narrative.

Avoid percentages and automated ranking

Fixed numeric weights falsely imply a validated measurement scale across unlike markers and schools.

Never use Shen Sha scores for medicine, credit, hiring, safety, legal action, compatibility exclusion, or other consequential decisions.

  • Use qualitative evidence tiers.
  • Require human review and real facts.
