Overview

Five-Element strength calculation is a model that combines declared chart evidence rather than a universally standardized formula. A robust implementation begins with the resolved pillars, maps visible phases and hidden stems, applies month-command and root evidence, then accounts for support, drain, control, combinations, and other effective relations. Outputs should expose the method, version, evidence, and uncertainty instead of presenting an unexplained percentage as fact.

Start from verified chart data

Birth time, time zone, solar-term boundaries, and day rules determine the four pillars before any strength model runs.

Map each visible stem and branch and expand hidden stems from one canonical table; corrections must trigger full recomputation.

  • Validate pillars first.
  • Version the hidden-stem table.

Aggregate distinct evidence without pretending it is all equal

Month command, roots, exposure, generation, drain, control, combinations, and distance describe different aspects of effective capacity.

A model may assign weights, but it must not count the same root or hidden stem twice or silently mix incompatible school rules.

  • Document every evidence category.
  • Prevent double-counting.

Publish an audit trail instead of only a percentage

Show raw presence, major supporting and opposing evidence, the resulting classification, and the method version.

Use ranges or confidence language where boundaries are disputed; decimal precision should not exceed what the model can justify.

  • Expose supporting and opposing evidence.
  • Label uncertainty and version.

A strength score is not a scientific measurement of a person

It cannot quantify bodily composition, health, intelligence, resilience, morality, wealth, compatibility, or event probability.

Do not compare people, deny opportunity, or prescribe treatment and purchases from a symbolic model score.

  • No human ranking.
  • No medical or financial prescription.
