Overview

Children Stars are school-defined Ten-God correspondences used to organize questions about parenting and descendants. Some older tables use the Officer and Seven Killings family in male charts and the Output family in female charts; other lineages apply different polarity or sex rules. The Hour Pillar is a separate positional reference, not a substitute for the selected star. None of these symbols can establish fertility, pregnancy, a child's sex, number, health, character, or future.

Name the children-star table before interpreting it

Historical tables do not use one universal child-role correspondence. A common convention assigns Officer and Seven Killings to children in a male chart and Food God and Hurting Officer to children in a female chart.

Other lineages reverse or refine the polarities used for sons and daughters. Record the exact table without treating its binary categories as biological facts or modern identity rules.

  • Publish the adopted Ten-God mapping.
  • Treat sex-based tables as historical conventions.

Keep the role star and Hour Pillar separate

The mapped Ten God is a relational symbol; the Hour Pillar is a positional layer often associated with descendants, later projects, and later life. Each needs its own evidence trail.

Assess visibility, hidden stems, season, roots, strength, combinations, clashes, and timing before comparing the two layers. Do not count the same contact twice.

  • Preserve star-and-palace provenance.
  • Synthesize only after separate assessment.

Ask which parenting or care relationship matters

Biological children, adopted or foster children, stepchildren, dependants, students, creative work, and caregiving responsibilities are not interchangeable. The user must define the question.

A traditional descendant label may be used for symbolic reflection, but it must not erase child-free lives, fertility choices, guardianship, or diverse family structures.

  • Let the user define the relationship.
  • Do not assume parenthood or family form.

Never turn a parent's chart into a child profile

Children Stars cannot prove conception, pregnancy, miscarriage, infertility, parentage, child count, sex, disability, health, temperament, school results, safety, or lifespan.

Use consent, direct observation, medical or legal records, and qualified support for reproductive, custody, health, education, or safeguarding decisions.

  • No reproductive or child-outcome prediction.
  • Protect minors and third-party privacy.
