Father Star in Bazi (父親星)
Understand common Wealth-family mappings for the father role, school differences, star-and-palace checks, and strict limits on third-party claims.
Overview
The Father Star is a school-defined Ten-God correspondence used when a Bazi reading asks about the father role. A common table places the role in the Wealth family and often uses Indirect Wealth, but other lineages adjust the mapping by sex convention, yin-yang rule, or the relationship being studied. The selected star must be read with the relevant pillar or palace and with direct family evidence. It cannot reveal a father’s identity, health, conduct, wealth, or fate.

State the father-star convention before reading
Many teaching tables associate the father role with Wealth, frequently Indirect Wealth, because Wealth controls the Resource family used for the mother role. This is a traditional relational model, not a biological test.
Some schools select a different Wealth polarity or modify the table by the chart owner’s sex. A page must disclose the exact mapping instead of presenting one convention as universal law.
- Name the adopted Wealth correspondence.
- Record any sex or polarity convention.
Evaluate the exact star rather than the label alone
Identify the stem or hidden stem carrying the mapped Ten God, its pillar, season, roots, reveal, combinations, clashes, and role in the wider structure.
Several Wealth occurrences do not prove several fathers, and a hidden or absent occurrence does not mean the father is missing or uninvolved.
- Trace the exact chart occurrence.
- Separate frequency from family facts.
Cross-check position and dated contacts
Compare the mapped star with the adopted parent or ancestry palace convention, keeping star condition and palace condition as distinct evidence.
Luck-cycle or annual contacts can make the symbolic father-role theme more salient for a period, but they cannot specify what a father will do or what will happen to him.
- Preserve star and palace provenance.
- Attach timing claims to exact dates.
Protect the father’s privacy and autonomy
Do not infer paternity, identity, wealth, debt, occupation, fidelity, illness, death, abuse, abandonment, or inheritance from the chart owner’s Father Star.
Family history, legal parentage, health, safety, and financial matters require direct evidence, consent, records, and appropriate professional support.
- No third-party diagnosis or accusation.
- Use verified family information.
