How are decision-making patterns explored in Bazi?

Use whole-chart functions to review how information, options, constraints, resources, and action may be handled without predicting choices or outcomes.

Overview

Bazi can support a structured reflection on decision process, not predict what someone will choose or whether the choice will succeed. Define the decision domain and stakes, then examine functions related to information, support, option generation, boundaries, resource allocation, peer influence, and execution. Check month command, roots, access, Five-Element flow, Ten-God configurations, pattern, useful functions, and exact interactions. Validate the hypothesis with past decisions and use an external checklist for current choices.

Define the decision before interpreting a style

Separate routine preferences from high-stakes medical, legal, financial, employment, or safety decisions. State the deadline, uncertainty, available information, and who is affected.

A person may decide differently under time pressure, conflict, expertise, or accountability. Do not generalize one choice into a permanent decision identity.

  • Name the domain, stakes, and deadline.
  • Identify affected people and required consent.

Map chart functions to parts of the process

Resource can prompt questions about gathering and trusting information, Output about generating or communicating options, Wealth about allocation, Officer about rules, and Companions about peer influence.

These are functional prompts, not fixed traits. Check season, roots, access, flow, combinations, control, pattern, useful functions, and competing configurations before forming a hypothesis.

  • Connect each claim to a process step.
  • Do not interpret Ten-God names literally.

Use past decisions to design a better checklist

Review what information was gathered, which options were missed, how risk was assessed, who was consulted, what was reversible, and what happened afterward.

Turn supported observations into a practical safeguard such as a cooling-off period, written criteria, a pre-mortem, a second opinion, or a documented stop condition.

  • Include successful and unsuccessful examples.
  • Choose safeguards that can be observed and repeated.

Keep high-stakes decisions evidence-led

A chart cannot determine competence, capacity, consent, truthfulness, risk tolerance, financial suitability, diagnosis, legal rights, or the correct decision.

Use qualified medical, legal, financial, employment, or safety advice where relevant. Bazi must not override facts, contracts, calculations, professional standards, or another person’s autonomy.

  • Never present a chart as decision authorization.
  • Do not guarantee timing or outcomes.
