What does it mean when a family star is affected by a clash?
Trace the exact branch clash, carrier, roots, natal or timing layer, and counterevidence before interpreting a family-role star without predicting conflict or loss.
Overview
A family star is “affected by a clash” only after an exact relation path is shown. First identify the family-role Ten God and where it appears. A branch clash acts between one of the six opposing branch pairs; if the family star is a heavenly stem, the clash may affect its root or carrier branch rather than directly clash the stem. Next check whether both branches are present, which pillars they occupy, their seasonal strength, hidden stems, support, competing combinations, and whether the clash belongs to the natal chart or a temporary cycle. A clash signals structural movement or tension within the method; it does not prove family conflict, separation, injury, illness, or death.

Build the exact star-to-clash evidence path
Derive the family role from the Day Master, locate every visible and hidden occurrence, and name the branch that carries or roots the relevant symbol.
Verify the opposing branch pair. If only the carrier or root is clashed, describe that indirect effect instead of saying the heavenly stem itself was clashed.

Weight the clash inside the whole chart
Consider the Month Command, strength of both branches, hidden stems, distance, support, repeated branches, combinations, punishments, harms, breaks, and transformation policy.
A clash can coexist with support or another relation. Do not delete either branch or assume that the louder-sounding label always wins.

- Do not convert a relation into automatic destruction.
Separate natal structure from temporary activation
A natal clash is part of the frozen chart. A luck pillar or annual branch may contact one natal branch for a defined period and should be stored as a separate timing layer.
The incoming contact may highlight a family-related question, but timing needs corroborating chart mechanisms and real events. It cannot name what will happen.

- Do not rewrite the natal state after a cycle ends.
A clash is not evidence of family harm
Do not predict arguments, divorce, estrangement, accidents, illness, violence, death, custody disputes, or financial loss from a clashed family-role symbol.
Discuss real relationships through observed behavior, communication, consent, and safety information. High-stakes concerns require direct evidence and qualified help.
