Overview

The Mother Star is a declared Ten-God correspondence used to structure a question about the mother role. A common convention uses the Resource family, often Direct Resource, while some lineages select polarity according to sex-based tables or the specific care relationship. The star must be assessed by exact occurrence, strength, position, relations, and palace context. It is not evidence about a mother’s identity, health, personality, caregiving, fertility, or lifespan.

State which Resource correspondence is being used

Many teaching tables use Direct Resource for the mother role because Resource generates the Day Master. The generative relation is technical symbolism, not proof of biology or care quality.

Other tables use the wider Resource family or change polarity under an older sex convention. The reader must name the table and avoid presenting a contested mapping as the only rule.

  • Declare Direct or Indirect Resource.
  • Explain the adopted reference rule.

Locate and assess the actual chart evidence

Record whether the mapped Resource appears as a visible stem or hidden stem, where it sits, and how season, roots, support, control, combinations, and clashes affect it.

A strong label does not prove a dominant or supportive mother, and an absent label does not prove separation, neglect, infertility, or loss.

  • Use occurrence-level evidence.
  • Reject strength-to-personality shortcuts.

Distinguish mother, caregiver, and support roles

Biological, adoptive, foster, step-parent, guardian, and chosen-family care roles may not match an inherited table. Ask the user which relationship is relevant.

Keep the symbolic Resource function separate from education, housing, emotional support, and other real-world resources that must be established directly.

  • Let users name the care relationship.
  • Do not erase nontraditional families.

Do not turn a maternal symbol into a private profile

Do not infer maternity, fertility, pregnancy, health, mental state, education, wealth, control, sacrifice, illness, or death from the chart owner’s Mother Star.

Use consent, medical or legal records, direct communication, and qualified support for real questions about care, family status, safety, and health.

  • No third-party health or fertility claims.
  • Keep real decisions evidence-based.
