Overview
The Hour Pillar (時柱) is the fourth pair, built from the birth-time branch and an hour stem derived from the day stem. Some schools use it to frame children, later output, old age, or what a person extends into the future, but these are palace contexts rather than forecasts. If birth time is uncertain, the pillar may be uncertain too. Even with a confirmed time, analyze its stem, hidden stems, whole-chart relations, and children stars separately. It cannot determine fertility, a child’s future, lifespan, retirement wealth, illness, or care outcomes.
