How is management ability explored in Bazi?
Explore specific management behaviors through whole-chart functions, then verify them with team outcomes and fair evidence rather than a fixed competence score.
Overview
Management ability is a learned set of behaviors: planning, prioritizing, delegating, communicating, coaching, allocating resources, resolving conflict, and building accountable systems. Bazi can prompt questions about the functions involved, but it cannot measure competence. Define the management context and scope, examine relevant whole-chart configurations, then compare each hypothesis with observed behavior, team feedback, delivery, retention, safety, and improvement over time. Different environments require different management practices.

Define the management job and its constraints
Specify team size, seniority, mandate, decision rights, budget, risk, remote or in-person setting, and whether the work requires coaching, operations, projects, or crisis response.
A person may manage projects well but not people, or succeed with a mature team but not a turnaround. Do not generalize across unlike contexts.
- Name the people and systems being managed.
- State authority, resources, and constraints.
Map configurations to management tasks
Officer can prompt questions about standards and accountability, Output about instruction and feedback, Wealth about allocation, Resource about learning and support, and Companions about peer dynamics.
Check month command, strength, roots, pattern, useful functions, access, flow, and interactions. No Ten God or element proves that someone can manage people fairly or effectively.
- Connect each prompt to an observable task.
- Include conditions that support or disrupt the function.
Validate with team-centered evidence
Review goal clarity, delegation, workload, delivery, quality, staff development, psychological safety, turnover, conflict handling, accessibility, and feedback from affected team members.
Use training, coaching, structured feedback, and repeated observation. Outcomes should be interpreted with team resources and organizational constraints, not attributed to one person alone.
- Use multiple sources and time periods.
- Measure effects on people as well as output.
Do not use Bazi for promotion or performance decisions
A chart cannot establish competence, empathy, integrity, harassment risk, disability, loyalty, culture fit, or readiness to manage.
Hiring, promotion, discipline, succession, and performance review require job-relevant criteria, documented evidence, fair procedures, accessibility, and applicable legal safeguards.
- No manager ranking or promotion forecast.
- Never profile workers from birth data.
