Limits of Ten-God Personality Reading (十神性格)
Use Ten-God imagery as conditional vocabulary without turning chart labels into fixed personality tests, diagnoses, demographic traits, or hiring judgments.
Overview
Ten-God images can organize hypotheses about how a chart channels peers, output, exchange, authority, and support, but they do not define personality by themselves. Any behavioral interpretation must account for strength, position, combinations, chart structure, timing, culture, and lived evidence. The labels cannot diagnose mental health, morality, intelligence, gender, or employability.

Describe functions before traits
It is more precise to say a chart emphasizes output, rule pressure, exchange, or support than to call a person rebellious, greedy, violent, or dependent.
Functional language keeps the interpretation tied to the derived relationship instead of converting a traditional name into a character verdict.
- Use neutral verbs and conditions.
- Avoid loaded trait labels.
Require multiple converging chart signals
A trait hypothesis should not rest on one Ten God, one pillar, or a simple count.
Season, roots, reveal, relation network, useful role, and counterevidence must converge before even a tentative description is offered.
- Cite at least two independent chart layers.
- Publish disconfirming evidence.
Let the person’s lived evidence outrank symbolism
Culture, education, environment, choices, disability, trauma, and current circumstances shape behavior in ways a chart cannot measure.
If the person’s experience contradicts the reading, revise or discard the hypothesis rather than treating disagreement as proof.
- Invite self-description and correction.
- Never override observed reality.
Do not use Ten Gods for consequential profiling
They must not diagnose disorders or determine trustworthiness, criminality, job fit, creditworthiness, insurance risk, parenting ability, or relationship safety.
High-impact decisions require validated methods, direct evidence, due process, and qualified professionals.
- Exclude protected and sensitive inferences.
- Keep the system out of high-impact screening.
