Overview

Month-pillar Ten Gods include the month stem and each hidden stem in the month branch. The month branch also supplies the Month Command, making its seasonal qi central to strength and structure analysis. A month-pillar label cannot alone prove parents, siblings, career, workplace status, or a specific life event.

Separate the visible stem from the Month Command

The month stem has one Ten-God label, while the branch may contain several hidden-stem labels with seasonal ordering.

Do not call the visible month stem the Month Command unless the adopted method specifically supports that identification.

  • Map stem and branch contents independently.
  • Name the commanded qi explicitly.

Use season as evidence, not an automatic verdict

A Ten God tied to the commanding qi has strong seasonal support, but reveal, roots, control, drain, and competing structures still matter.

A visible label in the month pillar can be weak, while a hidden commanded label can remain structurally central.

  • Distinguish visibility from seasonality.
  • Record supporting and limiting conditions.

Connect structure before life-topic symbolism

Many methods begin structure analysis from month qi and then examine whether the corresponding Ten God is clear, mixed, supported, or damaged.

Only after the structural work should optional readings discuss family setting, work systems, or social obligations.

  • Resolve chart structure first.
  • Treat life-topic mappings as conditional.

Month labels do not diagnose family or employment

They cannot prove parental relationships, sibling count, workplace abuse, occupation, promotion, unemployment, or income.

Use direct history, contracts, performance evidence, and professional advice for consequential decisions.

  • Avoid literal family-role assignment.
  • Do not promise career outcomes.
