Indirect Resource generates the Day Master with the same polarity, such as Ren Water for Jia Wood. It is not inherently negative. The “robbing Eating God” configuration requires actual strength, placement and interaction between both stars.

When the element generating the Day Master has the same polarity, it is Indirect Resource. Ren yang Water generates Jia yang Wood, while Gui yin Water generates Yi yin Wood.
Classical texts also use Owl God, and use “Robbing Food” in the specific context of controlling Eating God. Those names do not make every Indirect Resource negative.
