What Is Indirect Wealth in BaZi?
Indirect Wealth is the element controlled by the Day Master with the same polarity. Learn how roots, Output, Companions and capacity shape its role.
Overview
Indirect Wealth is controlled by the Day Master and shares its yin-yang polarity, such as Wu Earth for Jia Wood. It does not mean windfall money or gambling luck; prominence and usefulness depend on roots, distribution, flow and capacity.

How is Indirect Wealth formed?
When the Day Master controls an element of the same polarity, the relationship is Indirect Wealth. Jia yang Wood controls Wu yang Earth, while Yi yin Wood controls Ji yin Earth.
Direct and Indirect are polarity labels, not judgments about legitimate, stable or unexpected income. Reading Indirect Wealth as guaranteed windfalls, speculation or business talent skips the required chart evidence.

Roots and distribution determine prominence
An exposed, rooted or seasonally supported Indirect Wealth star carries a different weight from one hidden without support. Pillar placement, combinations, clashes and activation by timing also affect how visible it becomes.
Strong Wealth with an unsupported Day Master differs from a strong Day Master meeting a light Wealth star. Relative capacity must be assessed before calling the relationship usable.

Output, Companions and Indirect Wealth
Output stars can generate Wealth, but the Day Master must be able to sustain output and the pathway must remain connected. Climate and competing relationships may limit an apparent generating cycle.
Companion stars can intensify competition for Wealth, yet may also strengthen a weak Day Master. Decide first whether the chart needs support or a channel for excess strength before judging their role.

Indirect Wealth may frame resource movement, external exchange or management range within traditional analysis. It cannot predict lottery wins, prices, startup success or a specific income level.
