Overview

The Ten Gods are ten relationship labels derived by comparing another stem’s Five-Element direction and yin-yang polarity with the Day Master. They are Friend, Rob Wealth, Eating God, Hurting Officer, Direct Wealth, Indirect Wealth, Direct Officer, Seven Killings, Direct Resource, and Indirect Resource. They classify functions inside a chart; they are not literal deities, fixed personalities, family members, professions, or guaranteed events.

Every label is relative to the Day Master

The same stem receives different Ten-God names when the Day Master changes, because the label records a relationship rather than an intrinsic identity.

Keep the Day Master, compared stem, phase direction, polarity, and resulting label available so the derivation can be audited.

  • Name both stems in the comparison.
  • Do not store a Ten God as a permanent stem property.

The ten labels form five functional pairs

Same phase, output, controlled phase, controlling phase, and resource each divide into same-polarity and opposite-polarity forms.

The pair structure explains why the ten names are systematic, while chart position and strength explain how a specific instance can operate.

  • Preserve the five relationship directions.
  • Evaluate each occurrence in context.

Classification comes before interpretation

First derive the label, then inspect whether it is revealed or hidden, seasonally supported, rooted, combined, controlled, or activated by timing.

Only after those checks should a reader discuss possible roles such as expression, resources, obligations, exchange, or peer dynamics.

  • Do not skip the deterministic derivation.
  • Attach every interpretation to chart evidence.

Traditional names are not factual allegations

Rob Wealth does not prove theft, Seven Killings does not prove violence, and Hurting Officer does not prove harm to an official or partner.

Use neutral structural language and require direct evidence for health, crime, employment, finances, relationships, or safety decisions.

  • Translate loaded names with context.
  • Never turn a label into a high-stakes claim.
