Overview

A Ten God gains seasonal command when its underlying phase is supported by the month branch’s commanded qi under the adopted strength method; it loses command when the season does not support it. This is major evidence, not a complete verdict. Roots, reveal, support, drain, control, storage, combinations, and the Day Master’s needs must still be evaluated.

Resolve the Month Command before classifying status

Determine the month branch from the correct solar-term boundary and identify the commanded qi under the selected school.

A Gregorian month name or approximate season cannot replace the actual month-pillar calculation.

  • Show the month branch and boundary.
  • State the adopted command convention.

Evaluate the phase beneath the Ten-God label

Season acts on Five-Element phases, while the Ten-God name describes that phase’s relationship to the Day Master.

Two occurrences of one Ten God may differ because their stems, roots, positions, or relation states differ.

  • Retain the underlying stem and phase.
  • Assess occurrences rather than only categories.

Combine season with the rest of the strength evidence

A seasonally supported label can be drained, controlled, combined, or unrooted, while an out-of-season label can receive substantial roots and support.

State a bounded conclusion and list the counterevidence instead of using binary strong and weak tags.

  • Add roots and relation evidence.
  • Explain what could reverse the conclusion.

Seasonal support is not moral or practical approval

A Ten God that gains command is not automatically beneficial, and one that loses command is not automatically harmful.

Do not turn seasonal status into medical, career, financial, or relationship advice without a separate whole-chart and real-world analysis.

  • Separate strength from usefulness.
  • Avoid direct life prescriptions.
