Primary Useful God and Supporting Favorable God (第一用神與輔助喜神) separates the role most necessary to resolve the chart’s leading problem from a role that supports, protects, or extends that solution. The distinction depends on the selected method and evidence: a supporting phase cannot replace an unmet prerequisite, and a nominal primary role that cannot operate may rank below an available alternative. Natal and timing priorities should be recorded separately.
