Supporting a Weak Day Master (扶弱)
Learn when 扶弱 is justified, how generation differs from same-element support, and why roots, pathways, dosage, and whole-chart effects must be checked.
Overview
Supporting weakness (扶弱) is a strength-balancing route used only when the Day Master is demonstrably unable to sustain the chart’s demands. Support may come through Resource generation, Companion reinforcement, added roots, or a coherent combination of these. The route must match the actual deficiency, reach the Day Master, remain usable, and avoid worsening climate or pattern problems; low element count alone does not prove weakness.

Prove genuine weakness before supporting
Assess Month Command, independent roots, Resource and Companion support, drain, Wealth, Officer pressure, and transformations.
Do not infer weakness from one missing element, character counts, physical appearance, or a difficult life event.
- Use a whole-chart strength result.
- Include counterevidence.
Choose generation, reinforcement, or rooting deliberately
Resource generation, Companion support, and a new root do not operate identically; select the route that reaches the actual deficiency.
Check whether the source is continuous and whether support becomes contested, combined away, or blocked.
- Name the support mechanism.
- Trace source to recipient.
Check pattern, climate, and overcorrection
Additional support can damage an established pattern, worsen cold or dampness, or suppress a needed output route.
State a useful range and opposing evidence instead of assuming more support is always better.

Keep weak as a technical label
A weak Day Master does not prove weak health, will, ability, morality, status, or vulnerability to others.
扶弱 does not prescribe food, objects, relationships, or medical treatment.
