Overview

A Strength-Balancing Useful God (扶抑用神) is selected to correct a demonstrated imbalance in Day-Master strength. A genuinely weak Day Master may need rooted generation or support; a genuinely strong Day Master may need orderly drain, wealth expenditure, or control. The method requires more than character counting: Month Command, roots, exposure, support, drain, control, transformations, and uncertainty must establish both the diagnosis and the candidate’s ability to act.

Prove the strength problem before selecting

Assess season, roots, exposure, Resource and Companion support, Output, Wealth, Officer pressure, and transformations.

Do not choose a supporting or restraining element from visual counts or one Month Branch alone.

  • Use a whole-chart diagnosis.
  • Publish counterevidence and confidence.

Choose a corrective route, not just an element name

For weakness, distinguish generation from peer support; for excess, distinguish drain, expenditure, and control. These routes have different requirements and consequences.

Name why the selected route fits the structure better than the alternatives.

  • Specify the mechanism.
  • Compare viable alternative routes.

Test whether the candidate is usable

Check season, roots, exposure, source continuity, obstruction, and whether the candidate survives combinations or clashes.

An absent candidate may describe what the chart lacks but cannot be treated as an already active solution.

  • Separate suitability from presence.
  • Grade actual operating strength.

Do not prescribe more of an element literally

扶抑 is a chart-analysis method, not an instruction to consume substances, buy objects, change careers, or seek people associated with an element.

Physical health and life decisions require direct evidence; the model does not establish scientific elemental dosage.

  • No literal element supplementation.
  • No medical or commercial prescription.
