Overview
Child Spirit, often conflated with the folk label Child Fate, appears mainly in modern and popular religious material. Its seasonal, Na Yin, Day-Branch, and Hour-Branch formulas disagree. It is not a single core Zi Ping rule and cannot prove a past-life identity, illness, relationship outcome, or need for a paid ritual.

Where Child Spirit sits within the tradition
Child Spirit and Child Fate are often embedded in folk stories about celestial attendants, temple children, or past-life causes. They are not equivalent to Month Command, Ten Gods, and structure analysis in core Zi Ping.
Studying the term can show how popular religion entered destiny vocabulary. Cultural circulation, however, does not verify a supernatural identity or karmic biography.

Why there is no universal Child Spirit table
Common verses group targets by season, Na Yin element, Day Branch, or Hour Branch, then add classifications such as true and false Child Fate. Sources do not use the same conditions.
A reproducible rule would need every seasonal boundary, which pillar supplies Na Yin, the target branches, and a complete source locator. One matching character is not enough.

Why OpenFate does not calculate the marker
No sufficiently stable, traceable, five-locale rule has passed review for the deterministic engine. The fail-closed state is therefore no calculation.
Publishing an evidence review helps users encountering the term in search. It does not mean the product uses Child Spirit secretly or endorses associated rituals.

Illness, marriage, and paid-ritual boundaries
Child Spirit cannot prove frailty, early death, mental illness, marriage trouble, infertility, or a past life. It cannot establish a need for substitution or sending-away rituals.
For health, relationships, or safety, seek qualified medical, psychological, legal, or social support. If someone uses fear to demand money, pause payment and verify the claim.
