What Is Monthly Virtue Harmony in BaZi?
Monthly Virtue Harmony selects Xin, Ding, Ji or Yi as the stem combining with Monthly Virtue. Learn the four groups, the difference from Yue De, and its limits.
Overview
Monthly Virtue Harmony extends the four Monthly Virtue groups: Yin-Wu-Xu seeks Xin, Shen-Zi-Chen seeks Ding, Hai-Mao-Wei seeks Ji, and Si-You-Chou seeks Yi. It marks the combining counterpart of Monthly Virtue, not automatic transformation or conflict resolution.

How is Monthly Virtue Harmony found?
It retains the Monthly Virtue trine groups but searches for the yin stem that combines with the group’s yang stem. Bing pairs with Xin, so Yin-Wu-Xu months seek Xin; Ren pairs with Ding, so Shen-Zi-Chen months seek Ding.
The other groups are Hai-Mao-Wei seeking Ji and Si-You-Chou seeking Yi. After establishing the birth-month branch, search the four visible stems for the target; hidden-stem inclusion must be stated separately.

Monthly Virtue and its Harmony are separate markers
Monthly Virtue seeks the yang stems Bing, Ren, Jia and Geng. Monthly Virtue Harmony seeks their partners Xin, Ding, Ji and Yi. A chart can contain both markers, one marker or neither.
The name does not complete a Heavenly Stem transformation. Position, proximity, season, competing combinations and controls still determine whether any actual combination functions in the chart.

How should the harmony theme be read?
Classical language connects the marker with coordination, accommodation and softer interaction. A careful reading presents this as a symbolic cue, not proof that the person always mediates well or avoids conflict.
A rooted and useful target involved in actual chart flow provides stronger corroboration. An unrooted or damaged target should receive less interpretive weight.

Responsible limits for Monthly Virtue Harmony
The marker cannot guarantee cooperation, marriage, negotiation or conflict resolution, and it cannot determine legal, financial or health outcomes. Real decisions need relevant evidence and expertise.
Calculator differences should be traced to solar-term month boundaries, hidden-stem policy and the lookup table. A transparent formula is more useful than adding more favorable adjectives.
