Overview

Virtue and Elegance Noble is a month-group lookup from San Ming Tong Hui. Each three-branch seasonal group has De and Xiu stems to check across the chart. OpenFate currently exposes a simplified month-by-month product table that does not reproduce the complete classical mapping, so the two must not be presented as identical.

The four classical month-group tables

San Ming Tong Hui gives 寅午戌 months 丙丁 as De and 戊癸 as Xiu; 申子辰 months 壬癸戊己 as De and 丙辛甲己 as Xiu; 巳酉丑 months 庚辛 as De and 乙庚 as Xiu; and 亥卯未 months 甲乙 as De and 丁壬 as Xiu.

The lookup begins with the natal month branch, identifies its three-branch seasonal group, and then checks the chart for the listed heavenly stems. De and Xiu are related classifications but should remain distinguishable when reporting which part of the table matched.

  • Start with the month branch’s seasonal group.
  • Report whether De, Xiu, or both matched and show the stem locations.

The current OpenFate table is a simplified product variant

OpenFate presently checks a compact month-by-month target table under the label 德秀贵人. Several rows use branch targets or fewer stems and therefore do not reproduce the complete four-group passage above.

Existing reports must remain stable, so this knowledge-page review does not silently change the engine. Until the product rule is separately migrated and regression-tested, the UI should describe a current product variant rather than claim exact classical parity.

  • Do not rewrite historical evidence to match the product table.
  • Do not change live calculations through a content-only review.

Strength, clashes, and useful structure still matter

The source says clashes, controls, and breaks reduce the marker’s force and mentions learning, finance, and office symbols as supporting context. Those conditions make it a secondary structural signal rather than an independent outcome engine.

A careful reading identifies the exact matching stems, their pillar positions, strength, roots, and interactions. It then explains what remains symbolic and avoids making the noble label override the chart’s month command, Ten Gods, or useful-element analysis.

  • Audit every matched stem in its actual pillar context.
  • Keep the marker subordinate to the full chart.

No character certificate or talent diagnosis

Virtue and Elegance Noble cannot certify morality, intelligence, taste, education, honesty, social class, or career potential. Nor does its absence imply poor character or limited ability.

Use observable conduct and relevant evidence for trust, education, hiring, and promotion decisions. This term is a traditional symbolic category, not a psychometric, academic, or background-check instrument.

  • Do not equate a noble marker with human worth.
  • Never use the marker for screening or adverse decisions.
