Identify cross-chart relation types, members, locations, conditions, competition, timing, and non-conditions without translating names into human behavior.
Overview
Combinations, clashes, punishments, and harms in relationships (關係中的合沖刑害, Guān Xì Zhōng De Hé Chōng Xíng Hài) are named stem-branch relations found across two charts. A reproducible analysis identifies the exact characters, chart owners, pillars, direction, complete relation table, missing members, hidden stems, natal function, competing contacts, and timing. Stem combinations, Six Harmonies, Three Combinations, meetings, clashes, punishments, harms, and breaks are different rule families; the presence of a relation is also different from transformation or benefit. Their everyday wording must not be read literally. A combination is not affection, a clash is not an argument, punishment is not abuse, and harm is not injury. These relations cannot predict conduct or relationship outcomes.

Classify the exact relation before interpreting it
List every participating stem or branch, its chart owner and pillar, and the adopted table. Separate stem combinations from branch harmonies, combinations, meetings, clashes, punishments, harms, and breaks.
For multi-member structures, state whether all required members exist and whether they come from one or both charts. A partial combination, arching relation, and complete structure are not interchangeable.

Separate contact, transformation, strength, and function
A registered contact establishes only that the adopted rule finds a relation. Transformation, strength, usefulness, restraint, or disruption requires separate evidence from season, roots, revealed and hidden stems, structure, and competition.
Preserve simultaneous relations and counterevidence. Do not let one favorable or difficult label erase the two natal charts or count the same characters repeatedly.

- Evaluate function independently in both charts.
Keep natal and time-triggered relations traceable
Record natal cross-chart contacts first. Add luck pillars and annual influences separately to each chart, then compare a defined interval without moving time symbols into the natal chart.
A temporary relation does not schedule a human event. Show entry and exit dates, supporting and blocking conditions, and whether the same relation is absent in the other chart.
- Attach each contact to its layer and date range.
- Do not invent shared events from simultaneous symbols.
Keep technical verbs separate from human conduct
Combination does not mean love, clash does not mean an argument, control does not mean coercion, punishment does not mean abuse, harm does not mean injury, and break does not mean separation.
Use direct evidence for consent, communication, conduct, conflict, health, safety, and decisions. No relation family can certify compatibility, assign blame, or predict marriage and separation.
